Christmas Photo Comparison

They've all changed LOTS - Haven't they?

Kids in Front of the Tree - 2009

For some reason, Elle did NOT want to cooperate when we started, so the first few pix show that very clearly. Then, the boys made fun of her by doing a pouty/crabby one so that they would look like her, and then, it became a challenge to see who could do the best faces.

SNOW, SNOW, WIND, and SNOW

We had a nasty blizzard that started just before Christmas. By Christmas Eve, most people were stuck and unable to get out. The drifts blocked our road, and you can see how tall they were compared to Bryant. We finally got out late afternoon on the the 26th after the road grader came. When Ken made it to school to check on his "pets", he was thrilled to learn that he had yet another batch of gerbils arrive while he had been gone.... Joy!

Christmas Morning 2009

Elle hadn't said much about what she wanted for Christmas - The one day, coming home from school, she informed me that she wanted a plane, a train, and a flute she could sing with. Of course, Santa was almost ready to arrive at that point, so some scrambling had to happen to make the necessary order.
The morning of Christmas, once all the gifts were divided out into each person's pile, she kept saying "All of these are for me?" As she decided which box to open first, it was a perfect coincidence that the first one contained the airplane. She also got the train and the flute, along with clothes for her dollies, make-up, and a million other things that morning. Santa was good to all of us this year.

Conlee and Dayton's Christmas Program - With Elle Too

Our church's Christmas program was the same night as Conlee and Dayton's. We opted to go to the boys' program instead. Dayton was the only little person in his class, so his teacher (Aunt Ann) asked Elle if she would do it with Dayton, so of course, she wanted to be a helper. Elle and Dayton were shepherds in the Nativity and Conlee was a Wise Man. We had to take a pix with Granny too :-). It was a good evening!

BASKETBALL - Here we go.... 12/18 Game

Bryant is #50. His 6'4 tower is usually under the goal somewhere :-) . This crazy game went into overtime....

Winter Cold and Snow - Only the Beginning!

When it comes to cold weather, Elle is just like Bryant. Her little thermometer runs VERY HIGH, so she just doesn't feel the chill that the rest of us experience. Bryant is like that too. So, the two of them can spend forever outside playing when its snowy. They love it!

Three Orphan Kittens

We started caring for these babies when they barely had their eyes open. Their mommy met an unfortunate demise. There were four, but one was not able to make it. After lost Nikita, I swore that I'd never have another cat in the house - now, we have three insane kittens, plus Taz, who we also had to bottle feed. Thank goodness for days when its warm enough outside to kick them all out for most of the day!!
